December Classified Employee of the Month Patty Hammons, seated in red |
Department faculty members, co-workers, and members of Classified Professional Development Team joined together this morning to surprise and honor longtime LCC employee Patty Hammons. (seated in red) Patty, an Instructional Specialist, works in the Listening and Testing Lab for the English, Foreign Language, and Speech Department. Patty joined the LCC family first as a timesheet employee and then began full-time on April 1, 1982. Nominators said such things as "Patty's expertise helps our Listening and Critical Thinking students achieve a 90%+ skills improvement", she "gives 150% in everything she takes on", and Patty "is one of the most efficient, diligent, and professional people I've known". Patty's outside interests include gardening, watercolor painting, biking, and serving as a Wellness team captain. Patty stated she would like to thank those who nominated her for the honor and all those who joined in the surprise presentation this morning. Hip-hip-hooray for Patty Hammons, December recipient of the Classified Employee of the Month award. Submitted by Leigh Alice Petty and Colby Sheldon, co-chairs of the EOM Committee
And remember that, you too, can help us to recognize exemplary Classified employees by nominating them for this award.
