(return to Classified EOM main page)
KUDOS and Congratulations go to October's Classified Employee of the Month - Melanie Davis.
 |
October Classified Employee of the Month, Melanie Daivis, under balloons pink blouse, is congratulated left to right by Rita Kavanaugh, Donna Smalley, Kris Tupper, Sharon Hagan, Joyce Godels, Roxanne Atter, Dr. Abbot, Leslie Clark, and Claire Ranney. |
Representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team joined staff of the Family & Health Careers division, as well as students/clients of the Lane Dental Clinic, to present Melanie Davis with the Employee of the Month award for October. Melanie started as a timesheet employee in the Cooperative Ed office in September of 1992, and became a contracted employee in March of 1997, working for Lane Family Connections. Faculty, staff and students in the Dental Clinic were thrilled to have a full-time position reinstated, and are very pleased with how Melanie fills the bill since starting there September 2005. She has gone beyond expectations, using initiative to expand her job to help students, clients and her colleagues. She saw the need and worked and worked to facilitate a Senior Smile Day last April, serving 57 senior citizens with clinic visits in one day! Melanie is always kind, professional and approachable, encouraging a spirit of cooperation. She sells our clinic off-campus, as well, bringing in friends and family as clients and helping with community outreach. Outside of Lane, Melanie is a busy Mom of three kids, and likes to read when she can find the time. When you see Melanie, congratulate her for doing a terrific job and celebrate her nomination as Octobers Classified Employee of the Month.
And remember that, you too, can help us to recognize exemplary Classified employees by nominating them for this award.
