(return to Classified EOM main page)
KUDOS and Congratulations go to April's Classified Employee of the Month - Karen Edmonds.
 |
April Classified Employee of the Month for April, Karen Edmonds (center) is congratulated by Donna Koechig (left), Associate Vice President for Instruction and Student Services, and Helen Garrett, Registrar. |
A group of representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team joined a large group of colleagues in Building 1 (Student Services) to surprise/present Karen Edmonds (center) with the Employee of the Month award for April. Karen has been serving Lane since July of 2001 as High School & Community Relations Coordinator. She is noted by her campus colleagues as an extremely gifted person that models ALL of Lane's mission and core values daily. She embraces the value of diversity. Just some of the successful projects that Karen has been involved with include the "Lane to Your Future" visitation program; Gear Up Program, bringing federal funds to Lane; and most recently Lane Preview Night, with over 1,000 attendees. She has also coordinated a positive Lane presence in community events such as the Lane County Fair, the Asian Celebration and the Migrant Education Parent Conference.
When you see Karen, congratulate her for doing a terrific job and celebrate her nomination as April's Classified Employee of the Month. If you don't see her using the coveted EOM parking space this month, it's because Karen also embraces sustainability and her own health by often riding her bike to work!
And remember that, you too, can help us to recognize exemplary Classified employees by nominating them for this award.
