KUDOS and Congratulations go to January's Classified Employee of the Month - Gene Knight. 

Rick Venturi led a group of representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team to the LCC Laundry, where they surprised Gene Knight (center white shirt) with the Employee of the Month award for January.

Rick Venturi led a group of representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team to the LCC Laundry, where they surprised Gene Knight (center white shirt) with the Employee of the Month award for January.  Gene was relieved to know he wasn't really in trouble, as the rouse Rick led him to believe.  Gene has been serving Lane for 18 years, and just recently "semi-retired" by lowering his hours on campus. As a classified employee in the LCC Laundry, Gene keeps all the equipment up & running.  He is noted by his colleagues as a bright light to the employees & clients in the Laundry.  He has a positive, friendly manner that is very much appreciated.  He's even been known to sing or tell stories to lift the spirits of the Specialized Employment Services clients!  Laundry staff, clients, and even Gene's wife were on hand to congratulate him on this honor.
