KUDOS and Congratulations go to June's employee of the Month - Gary Conklin.

Our friendly mailroom coordinator and courier, Gary Conklin, is Classified Employee of June. Gary began working at Lane in July 2000 as a time sheet employee and became a member of the bargaining unit in September 2002. Nominations for Gary describe him as an employee who goes far beyond his job in the mailroom. Gary volunteers in Tutor Central approximately three hours each evening and has done so for many years. Nominators point out that Gary's expertise in accounting, business, and computers, coupled with his calm and reassuring nature have made him an excellent and well liked tutor. When Gary is not tutoring, redesigning the system in the mailroom, serving on various campus committees, helping co-workers with weekend projects, and delivering our mail each day, he is restoring old automobiles or expressing his artistic talents through his drawings. Gary, your excellent customer service plus extensive volunteer tutoring to help LCC students make you an active, well-rounded LCC Employee of the Month. Congratulations!!!
