Classified Employee of the Month - January 2004
(return to Classified EOM main page)
KUDOS and Congratulations go to January's Classified Employee of the Month - Beverly Gregory.
The January Classified Employee of the Month award was presented to a very surprised Beverly Gregory. Many of her co-workers in Food Services department, along with Director Peg Allison, and VP Cheryl Roberts, surprised her with the announcement and celebration last Thursday morning. Beverly has been an LCC employee since September 1993. Her dedication to the students and her co-workers is evident in her daily routine. Examples from her many nominations indicated that whether creating tasty treats for a vegetarian line, catering to a special request, or testing new recipes from her internet research, Bev is always up to the challenge "busting out" pans and pans of food while "running a tight ship". In addition to her outstanding work in Food Services, Beverly worked with the LCC electricians for 5 summers. Bev shared that her hobbies revolved around her 13 year old daughter - helping with homework and doing laundry. She said "I was surprised and taken back. Thanks a lot for nominating me, I was so embarrassed!" Be sure to stop Bev next time you are in the food court and congratulate her for being recognized for going above and beyond her job description. Way to go, Bev!!
And remember that, you too, can help us to recognize exemplary Classified employees by nominating them for this award.
