KUDOS and Congratulations go to June's Classified Employee of the Month ñ Michele Ronning.

A group of representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team and AVP Patrick Lanning interrupted a Family & Health Careers Division meeting to surprise/present Michel Ronning with the Employee of the Month award for June.  Michel is a graduate of Lane's Early Childhood Education Program, and has been serving Lane as an employee since September of 1984.  In 2000 she became the Child Care Center Coordinator.  Her colleagues noted that in the throws of recent budget woes, she kept a cool head, crunching numbers and using her creativity to come up with viable options to proposed cuts.  These options included coordination with outside agencies, building better community relationships and better learning opportunities for students in the ECE program. Her easy smile and bubbly personality reflect her excellent customer service.   Michel put together an end of the year extravaganza ñ that may now become an annual event - which was a fun-filled family event that doubled as a fundraiser! Outside of work, Michel loves to spend time with her family.  That has now come full circle also, as her son ñ who was in the very first infant classroom at Lane 20 years ago ñ is now taking credit classes here as an adult!   When you see Michel, congratulate her for doing a terrific job and celebrate her nomination as June's Classified Employee of the Month.
