KUDOS and Congratulations go to July's Classified Employee of the Month – Carol Waterhouse.Representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team and AVP Donna Koechig joined a group of colleagues in the Academic Learning Skills Division, some who came in specifically for this, to present Carol Waterhouse with the Employee of the Month award for July. Carol has been working at Lane since 1994 in a variety of instructional areas, and has been a permanent employee in ALS since September of 2002. From the numerous comments made by her colleagues, she is well loved and respected. Carol's customer service is excellent. She will go the extra mile for anyone; be it student, staff or the general public. Her dedication to Lane, even when facing turmoil in her own position, is exemplary. Snacks and positive phrases posted in her work area help everyone feel welcomed and valued – as well as her cheery, heartfelt smile and attention. Colleagues also noted how Carol anticipates the needs of her colleagues, especially helping new faculty to get onboard and feel prepared to do their work. Outside of work, Carol loves to spend time with her family and in her garden, from which she brings in lovely flowers for the office. When you see Carol, congratulate her for doing a terrific job and celebrate her nomination as July's Classified Employee of the Month. Classified
