Kudos and Congratulations go to October’s Classified Employee of the Month – Carrie Brandt. 

Representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team joined staff of the Social Science Department and other colleagues to present Carrie Brandt with the Employee of the Month award for October. Carrie’s been working as the Administrative Coordinator in Social Science since September 2003. She joined LCC October 2001 as an Administrative Specialist at the Florence Campus. Carrie’s colleagues gave numerous examples to justify her receiving this award.  To name just a few, with 14 different subjects in her division, she thinks ahead to what is needed for each subject and the division as a whole in scheduling, purchasing, budgeting, and meeting deadlines; she is definitely a self-starter in solving a constant series of problems that need solutions; she streamlined the creation of the yearly schedule for each discipline by developing and refining a template for faculty and the office to use for determining each terms schedule; and she volunteered and served three years as the division representative for the United Way campaign. Outside of Lane, Carrie enjoys fishing, camping, and learning to golf. She is married with a 16 year-old daughter and has a 4 year-old Shih Tzu which is her ‘baby’. When you see Carrie, congratulate her for doing a terrific job and celebrate her nomination as October’s Classified Employee of the Month.
