Summer Term 2012 and Fall Term 2012 Online SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising & Registration) Information
Please review the following information to determine if you are eligible to complete this process online.
Criteria to be eligible:
- Must have completed or tested into Writing 80 or higher.
- Have declared one of the following majors
Health Professions Majors
When signing up, choose: Online SOAR-Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Physical Therapist Asst. OR Respiratory Care |
Social Science Majors
When signing up, choose: Online SOAR-Crim Just/Juv Cor, OR Pre-Law/Pol Sci, OR Psych/Soc |
Dental Hygiene-AAS Degree |
Criminal Justice-AAS Degree |
Nursing-AAS Degree |
Juvenile Corrections-1 yr. certificate |
Nursing Transfer |
Pre-Law/Pol Sci-2 yr. transfer major |
Physical Therapist Assistant |
Psychology-2 yr. transfer major |
Practical Nursing |
Sociology-2 yr. transfer major |
Respiratory Care |

- Have access to a computer with high speed internet and speakers.
- Have the following technology skills: Abililty to open, read, save, upload and download various files, as well as open, read, and send emails.
- Currently have, or be able to install PDF viewing software such as Adobe Reader and have an updated browser on your computer. You can download Mozilla Firefox if needed.
Summer Term:
- Be able to complete orientation between May 16th and May 30th.
Fall Term:
- Be able to complete orientation between June 4th and June 13th.

Watch for email instructions beginning June 4th- when the Moodle site for Online SOAR is available.
IMPORTANT: Students will need to sign up for an on-campus SOAR session for the following reasons: 1) It is determined you are not pursuing one of the majors listed above or are not able to meet criteria 1-6 above. 2) You are not able to complete the Online SOAR requirements (emailed to each student who has signed up).
