must be accompanied by an adult). Iyengar Yoga, a form of Hatha
Yoga, focuses on the structural alignment of the physical body
through the development of asanas (postures). Through the practice
of a system of asanas, it aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for
health and well being. Iyengar Yoga is a powerful tool to relieve the
stresses of modern-day life which in turn can help promote total

Nia is a movement and fitness program inspired by many modalities
including: Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Jazz, Duncan and Modern
Dance, The Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, and Yoga. Each session
will provide an effective cardiovascular workout with total body
conditioning as well as the opportunity for self-expression. This is a
non-contact class. No prior training is necessary.

using simple chair and floor exercises. Restorative Yoga is ideal for
people needing to lose weight or to heal. REQUIRED for class: 2

Scuba diving is the adventure and challenge you have been looking for.
Two thirds of our planet is water, and as a SCUBA diver you get the
unique opportunity to explore and experience what our oceans, lakes,
and rivers have to offer. This class covers necessary skills, and
knowledge for the exciting sport of scuba diving. Diving skills such as
hand signals, buoyancy control, equipment usage and diver safety will
also be stressed. Fees include: All necessary gear, books/materials,
ocean dive trip (required for certification) and Certification. Tuesdays:

Surfing in Oregon during the spring season is an incredible experience.
Ossies Surf Shop (Agate Beach) has created a unique surfing school
especially for Lane at Cottage Grove. Lessons with instruction,
individual attention and all the equipment you need are included! “Surf
School” includes a 1 1/2 hour classroom session followed by a 1 1/2
hour pool session (at Cottage Grove High School Pool), a two-day
weekend with 2 hours of surf lessons each day, and all-day equipment
usage. Ossies will select the equipment for you from a full size run of
men’s, women’s, and kids high quality rental wetsuits, boots, gloves

Release stress, develop flexibility and improve balance using the slow,
circular movements of Yang Style. Tai chi and other gentle stretching
exercises will enhance your understanding of the fundamental concepts of

stamina necessary to advance to the continuing and advanced levels.

Yogilates combines the principles and methods of both Pilates and
Yoga to promote flexibility, balance, and core strength. Participants of
all fitness levels are encouraged to progress at an individual pace as
exercises are taught at various levels. Improvements in agility,
coordination, confidence, body awareness and body appreciation
