ALCOHOL SERVER

This class was designed and approved by the OLCC to allow individuals
who are employed in the sales or service of alcoholic beverages for
consumption on public premises, the opportunity to receive or renew
their Alcohol Service permit. Students may want to bring a snack. Per
OLCC rules, students MUST be on time or they cannot attend class and
MUST be registered prior to the beginning of the class.
BARTENDING
(CRN 43329) 30 hrs.
Thr, beginning April 3, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
CGC 130 ($120 + $39 fee) Mo Harryman
Learn the techniques and psychology of tending bar. Includes: setups,
pouring, recipes, introduction to legal issues; customer service and bar
psychology. Prepares students for entry-level professional
bartending. Occasional bartenders also welcome. See Alcohol Server
Education class for state permit procedures.
COACHING PRINCIPLES

CGC 122 ($64 + $55 fee) Randy Rogers
Geared toward serious coaches, this course challenges coaches to define
who they are as coaches (their coaching philosophy, objectives, and
style); enhance communication and motivational skills; become more
effective teachers and trainers; and improve team, relationship, risk, and
self-management skills. Course includes text, DVD, and six-hour
practicum (to be announced.)
FLAGGER: WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL
(CRN 43504) 5 hrs.

CGC 126 ($20 + $64 fee) Paul West
Prepare to be a Flagger for work zone traffic control. Learn the basics
of flagging and traffic control. Receive State of Oregon Department of
Transportation Credential for Flaggers, valid for three years in
Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. Textbook will be provided.
Recommended age 18 and older.
FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION
(CRN 42111) 4 hrs.

Weyerhauser, Highway 99 ($16 + $22 fee) Preston Nydam
Class has three hours of lecture and one hour devoted to actual forklift
driving. Students may need to stay longer than four hours to get their
driving time completed. Safety card issued upon successful completion
of class.
HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Students learn the management skills needed in today’s hospitality
industry. Topics include human resources, accounting, rooms division
(housekeeping, front desk, laundry, bell) maintenance, property
management, engineering, food and beverage, marketing, sales,
management, administration, security, reservations, forecasting, yield
management, retail, and technology. Students will receive certification
from the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
VETERINARY ASSISTANT TRAINING
(CRN 42108) 16 hrs.

CGC 139 ($64) Lynn Rogers
The veterinary assistant is responsible for many tasks including basic pet
grooming, restraint, sanitation and performing simple laboratory tests,
scheduling, recordkeeping, and customer service. The assistant works as
an aide to both the technician and the veterinarian. This course prepares
students for an entry level position at most veterinary facilities.
