This ABCs of Homebuying course is designed to help you decide if
buying a home is right for you. Topics such as financial preparation and
protecting your investment will be covered. This State-certified class
satisfies requirements for downpayment assistance and First Time

Avoid pitfalls and mishaps and learn how to organize your homebuilding
project. This class covers site selection, hidden land costs, contracting
with a builder, budgeting, financing, design considerations, orienting the
home on the lot, materials/specification sheets and other important
documents, and an overview of the construction process itself.

This class is a National Rifle Association Basic Handgun. Students
will learn safety rules, marksmanship techniques, and Oregon law
regarding use of deadly force and carrying concealed. Class completion
certificates may be used by students to apply for State of
Oregon concealed handgun licenses. Student texts and handouts are
included in class fees. Students must supply handgun, 100 rounds of
factory ammunition, eye and ear protection.
HOME REPAIR: PLUMBING/ELECTRICAL

Students are guided through the fundamentals of household plumbing
and electrical systems. Focus includes diagnosing causes of common
plumbing and electrical problems, repair and replacement of faucets,
toilets, hot water tanks, unclogging drains, sprinklers, electrical
outlets, switches, light fixtures, repair of various pipe and wiring
systems, circuit breaker basics, and much more. Confused by sales
persons that do not know what they are selling you? Overwhelmed
by all the parts and pieces on the shelves at the hardware store? The
last class will have an optional fieldtrip to B & I Hardware.
LEWIS & CLARK: THE MEN AND THE MOMENT

USPS PUBLIC BOATING CLASS

CGC 140 (No Charge) David Wagner
The United States Power Squadron (USPS), in cooperation with Lane,
offers this class to assist students gain a nationally recognized certificate.
Classroom topics include rules and regulations to help boaters become more
safety conscious. A $25 textbook is required. Pre-registration required.
Note: Student must attend all four classes in order to become certified.
