Learn to amaze your family and friends! In this class, you will learn a variety of mystifying magic tricks using cards, coins, and other props. You will also learn to twist balloons into animals, hats, and many other things. Fun for all ages, this class is ideal for salespeople, grandparents, or anyone looking for a new hobby or creative outlet.

This fun class will focus on the creative use of color and composition. The class will cover the basics of drawing and painting, quick sketching and perspective. The daring use of color and contrast to make paintings and drawings more vibrant and interesting will bring your creative spirit to life! Supplies needed will be gone over during the first class. This exciting new class will bring your creative sprite to “light”. Learn pattern making, bending of glass, use of torches, and assembly of a safe, durable neon display. Neon Neal will take students through out the entire process from raw materials to a beautiful, custom, personal lighted sign. Fees include all necessary materials and power supply.

Meet other knitters while you learn or practice a new skill. Discover a whole new way of spending your time while creating functional art that will also keep you warm. TYE-DYE TO DIE FOR

Want to create beautiful tye-dyes? Using fiber reactive dye, on cotton clothing, students learn to create the same effect seen at street fairs and rock concerts. Brilliant permanent color clothing can be created quickly and with little effort. Great for gifts! Students provide clothing for dying. See display at Lane office. Instructor will contact students prior to class.

WOODSHOP

CG High School Woodshop ($64 + $6 fee) David Hangsleben
Learn how to use a variety of basic woodshop equipment such as hand tools, saws, wood lathe, and assorted other machines. Plan and execute of a project from start to finish. Students also gain self-confidence and dexterity by choosing and creating their own projects. Woodshop is an opportunity to learn practical skills useful for home life. Students provide wood for their projects.
