BOOKSTORE HOURS

FINANCIAL AID

Students should apply now in order to receive maximum benefits.

Financial aid counselors are available at Cottage Grove. Please call 942-4201 for an appointment.

PLACEMENT TESTING

Testing is available on a drop-in basis at our Cottage Grove center. These tests are offered online in our testing room for reading, writing, or mathematics placement. Math practice sets can be printed from the LCC Math Department website Math review sheets (the pdf files print the best).

CREDIT ADMISSION APPLICATION

The Credit Admission application is now available on Lane's web site for students to download and print. Use www.lanecc.edu/stuser/credadm.pdf if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader. Otherwise, go to www.lanecc.edu/stuser/admis.htm for a link to the free download of Acrobat Reader and also the Credit Admission application. Note that this form is NOT used to submit an application electronically. It must still be printed out, filled out and turned in to the college.

WORKFORCE NETWORK FOR VETERANS

On the first Friday of the month beginning February 1, an Employment Specialist from the Oregon Employment Department, Workforce Network, will be available to provide one-on-one job search assistance for military veterans.

Benefits and/or services may also include case management activities such as: vocational guidance; resume/application assistance; job development; tax credit eligibility determination; referrals to jobs, training, and/or supportive services; information on federal contract/government employment opportunities; apprenticeships; and on-the-job training.

No appointment is necessary.

WEATHER CAMPUS CLOSURES

Weather and other catastrophes may cause college closures or opening delays. In the event of unexpected problems, closures will be announced by KLCC FM (89.7 MHz) and other news media. If local electric service is curtailed or interrupted, keep car and portable radios tuned for the latest information.

THE BUS STOPS HERE

Lane Transit District (LTD) provides regular bus service to the Cottage Grove center (route 98). For the latest schedule and route information visit the LTD web site (note that you will be leaving the LCC web site if you click on this link).

LANE COUNTY FOOD HANDLERS' PERMIT

Lane County has launched a new website where students can take the food handlers' test on-line and receive their three-year, statewide permit. On-line food handlers permit web site (note that you will be leaving the LCC web site if you click on this link).
Note that a paper test is given on a drop-in basis during the Lane Community College Cottage Grove center's normal hours of operation. Food service manuals are available for review prior to the test. The same $10 fee applies whether the test is taken on-line or at Lane.
Note: Group testing is available, call Mary @ 463-4201.

BICYCLE LOCKS AVAILABLE FOR CHECKOUT

Bicycles must not be brought into the building, but you can protect your bicycle if you forget to bring your bike lock. Visit the front desk and checkout a heavy duty bicycle lock.
