Q. Is it true that accountants are generally found to possess more charm and charisma than non-accountants? A. This is a loaded question because it implies that there's some sort of competition. Having said that, however, it is true that we're generally more charming. It's unclear whether people who already have this trait just naturally gravitate towards accounting or if it's something that happens after you become an accountant. Q. I have a charge listed on my Budget Query that, in spite of my best efforts, I can't identify. How do I better identify it? A. If it's a grant account, call your grant accountant. Otherwise, call Alan (5108). Q. Is it generally better to use 4 or 7? A. Seven is almost always better. Q. My Budget Query shows that I've run out of budget in an account because of the large amount of encumbrances. This doesn't seem right because I shouldn't have any more open purchase orders out there.
