  • Immunizations: Each child must have submitted a completed immunization record prior to admission. Each child must have the required injections of diphtheria/tetanus, polio, and measles, mumps, HIB, and rubella vaccines. Exceptions may be made when the child's physician provides a signed statement recommending delay or omission of the immunizations, or if the parent or guardian claims a religious exemption.

  • Parents Class: Child Development (HDFS226) and Child Care and Guidance (7.102) carry college credit and it is highly recommended that parents enroll in one or both classes before their child completes three terms in the Child Development Center. These classes help the parents understand child development, the guidance approach used in the center and can enhance the child's development.

  • Orientation Conference: Parents must participate in a half-hour orientation conference with a staff member before their child may be enrolled in the Child and Family Center. In addition, there is a one-hour parent/child orientation in the center prior to attendance.

Any parent interested in enrolling a child is encouraged to visit the lab school and observe the program in action. We encourage parents to ask questions and see the atmosphere of the lab school.

For additional information about enrolling your child, or to check on openings in the Lane Child and Family Center please call (541) 463-5519.
