Lane Child and Family Center

The Child and Family Center is a State licensed center located on the main campus that provides care for student’s staff and community families. The Child and Family Center is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday and serves children 30 months to five years old. Click here for campus map
The center offers full or part time care that includes:
- Highly educated teachers
- Five large classrooms and outdoor areas
- Young 3’s (children 30 months + working on toilet training process)
- Preschool
- Pre-Kindergarten classroom
- Breakfast, Lunch and snack – included in fees
- Parent observation rooms to view classroom activities
- Early Childhood Education students and parents assist teachers with activities which increase individual attention for children.
The classrooms are staffed by professional teachers, Lane students and parents. The Center is a Lab school for students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program and a cooperative where parents can work to reduce their fees. The center collaborates with Lane County Head Start for spaces in the Preschool and Pre K classrooms as well as EC CARES (U of O Early Intervention).
Enrollment and Fees
Enrollment is on a first come, first–served basis and is open to community, staff, and student families. If space is available families can enroll at any point throughout the year. Any parent who is interested in enrolling is encouraged to visit the center and observe the program in action.
