The Child and Family Education Department provides a whole village of support for children and families by providing quality child care, resource and referral services, and early childhood education instruction to staff, students and the community. Make a difference in a child's life by attending classes in Early Childhood Education. Our classes help prepare you to work in a variety of careers as a teacher; in a preschool, child development center, Head Start, after school program or owner of your own family child care business.

Lane’s Child and Family Center supports the growth and development of children. The center is a Lab school for students in the Early Childhood Education program and a cooperative where parents can work to reduce their fees. Ask us about our scholarships and tuition assistance.
Family Connections of Lane and Douglas Counties is Oregon's Child Care search engine. We can help you navigate the child care system by providing referrals to child care providers in Lane and Douglas Counties. We will assist you in launching a child care business and provide support and training. Servicios en Espanol.
Department Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8 – 2 pm on Fridays. The department office is open throughout the year with closures on holidays, college-wide in service days, and over Christmas week. The office is located in Bldg #24.
