"How to Pay for College...In One Day!" January 10, 2015

 
Annual scholarship event sponsored by

A free event for students and parents who want to obtain free money for college, January 10, 2015 from 8:30am – 2:30pm.

Location: Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, Room 100, Main Campus.

Event summary:
Participants will learn how to find and compete for scholarships and how to write effective applications. Specific information about Office of Student Access and Completion and the Lane Foundation scholarships will be provided. Financial aid professionals will help participants complete the online FAFSA application, so bring your 2013 tax returns and 2014 financial records.

A college funding workshop will also be held in Spanish.

Schedule:

  • 8:30-9 a.m. - Registration, Welcome, Overview
  • 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. - College Goal Oregon: Meet with financial aid professionals to complete the 2015-2016 FAFSA application. Bring 2013 tax returns and 2014 financial records. Computer labs available.
  • 9-10:30 a.m. - "Be a Competitive Applicant! Learn resources and strategies for finding scholarships plus how to write quality essays and applications.
  • 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - "Finding Funds for Oregon Students! Learn how to apply for the Office of Student Access and Completion"scholarships.
  • 12:45 p.m.- 2:15 p.m. – "Sesión Informativa Acerca de Becas y Ayuda Financiera".
  • 1:00 pm.-2:00 pm. -"Financial Aid Workshop"
