| Pharmacy Technician Certification
The course includes pharmacy-specific medical terminology, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students learn dosage calculations, IV flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement. It highly recommended students take the Math Calculations for Pharmacy Technicians class and the Medical Terminology in the Pharmacy Practice class in addition to the Pharmacy Technician class. Admission Requirements
The cost is $279 per term plus a textbook and the licensing fees.
