Scholarships & Testing

task list and penThese are topics you may need information about at different points in your education. Scholarships are a good thing to think about early on in the program; and testing is something to begin to ponder in your final terms.

Scholarships:

The Continuing Education Department does offer a small scholarship twice per year; the typical award amount is $300. For more on applying for this, and for information on other ways to finance your education, click to see the FAQs.

Testing:

Testing required by the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists for licensure includes a practical exam that is completed in Salem, Oregon, and one of several available written exams - the MBLEx (administered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards), or the NCETM or NCETMB (administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork).
