Spanish

Hola. ¿Cómo estás?

With over 500 million native speakers, Spanish is the world's third most spoken language. One of the fastest growing languages in the world, learning Spanish can help you both in business and in your personal life.  Continuing Education provides different opportunities for you to learn Spanish.  From beginning to advanced, our series of classes are designed to increase your comprehension and speaking ability.  Vocabulary and grammar activities are presented in a guided dialog and structured practice to help you increase your comprehension and master pronunciation.

Three instructors teach Spanish classes, each with a different emphasis.

Paula Saucedo offers the same progressive class model she uses in her for-credit Spanish classes at Lane. Geno Guttierrez uses guided dialogue emphasizing grammar and pronunciation, to help students acquire conversational skills. Daniel Collins introduces another method: Blaine Ray's highly successful TPRS method of World language instruction.
