With over 71 million native speakers, Farsi is the most widely spoken of the Indo-Iranian languages. It is the official language of Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, and is spoken by people in Pakistan, Iraq, and other countries in the region as well.

Farsi, or Persian through Cinema - Fall Term

Study Persian culture and develop speaking and listening skills in Farsi, the modern Persian language, by viewing a variety of contemporary films with English subtitles: Two Women, Leila, Circle, Border Café, and Color of Paradise. A class for film lovers. Knowledge of Farsi not required.
