Real Estate Property Manager Course Descriptions

The Real Estate Associate Broker License requires 60 classroom hours. Completion of these courses satisfies the Oregon prerequisites for becoming a licensed Real Estate Associate, and prepares you to take the State of Oregon Examination . Instructor Jon Tronrud, president of Rental Owners Association of Lane County, is a professional property manager with 22 years of experience and an industry leader.


Property Management I @ 30 hours

Oregon real estate license law and administrative rules apply to property management activity. Understand clients, trust accounts and reconciliation of accounts. Know the Oregon Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, including tenants, and landlords' rights and obligations; evictions; forcible entry and detainer procedures. Learn the economics of property management, including analysis of markets, properties, and evaluating the owner's objectives. Text required.


Property Management II @ 30 hours

Learn about leases, including leaseholds, types of leases and common clauses. Understand the agency relationship between property owner, property manager and tenant relations, including maintenance. Establish management record keeping, including operating reports, budgets, income tax records, and types of insurance. Be knowledgeable regarding anti-discrimination statutes, federal and state, and fair credit reporting. Know the general real estate law as applied to property management activity. Text required.
