  1. Lane Community College Admission

Fill out an application for admission to the college. If you have never taken credit classes at Lane, we encourage you to apply online as it is the fastest and simplest way to become a student at Lane. If you are unable to apply online, you can download an admission application from Lane's website. For more information on how to get started, please visit our Prospective Students page.

Returning Students: If you have taken credit classes at Lane before, you are considered a returning student and do not need to apply again.

Beginning in the summer of 2006 all new students will be required to submit an e-mail address when applying to the college by using the online admissions process. Students who have already been admitted are encouraged to enter an e-mail address via their ExpressLane account.

  1. Placement Testing

The Testing Office is located in Building #1, Student Services in Room 116.

New Students: Complete college placement tests in reading, writing, and math. Minimum placement test scores are: reading-68, and writing-64.

Students with Prior College: Bring a copy of your transcript(s) when you meet with a program advisor. Math must be current within one year or a placement test will need to be taken.

  1. Automotive Application

To be considered for the Automotive Program, you must complete an Automotive Application. The following documents must be submitted with the application: any unofficial transcripts (high school and/or college), test score sheets from the testing office, a reference letter, and a $25 non-refundable application fee.

  1. Program Advising

Meet with a program advisor to determine what classes you should take for your career goals and to ensure entry into the program. Advisors meet with students during their drop-in office hours.
