How to Get Started in ABSE Classes
Getting started in ABSE classes is easy. Just follow these steps to enroll:
- Decide which program is right for you. The Class Descriptions will help you choose.
- Decide where and when you want to study. The Class Schedules are organized by location, class time, and goal to help you find a class that works for you and your schedule.
- Attend a placement and orientation session
- Receive advising and class schedule at placement session
- Attend class
All classes are tuition-free. For more information, contact the Adult Basic and Secondary Education office at (541) 463-5214, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Admission Requirements:
- All students must be a resident of the College district
- Students must be at least 16 years of age to attend ABSE classes
- If you are 16 to 17 years old, you must have a high school release or referral from the district where you now live. This applies to in-school and out-of-school youth. The decision to release a student is made by local school district officials in accordance with Oregon Revised Statutes and local school district policy. If you have already graduated from high school or received a GED, you must bring proof of your credential.
