How to Get Started in ABSE Classes

Getting started in ABSE classes is easy. Just follow these steps to enroll:

1. Decide which program is right for you. The Class Descriptions will help you choose.
2. Decide where and when you want to study.  The Class Schedules are organized by location, class time, and goal to help you find a class that works for you and your schedule.
3. Attend a placement and orientation session
4. Receive advising and class schedule at placement session
5. Attend class

All classes are tuition-free. For more information, contact the Adult Basic and Secondary Education office at (541) 463-5214, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Admission Requirements:

• All students must be a resident of the College district
• Students must be at least 16 years of age to attend ABSE classes
• If you are 16 to 17 years old, you must have a high school release or referral from the district where you now live. This applies to in-school and out-of-school youth. The decision to release a student is made by local school district officials in accordance with Oregon Revised Statutes and local school district policy. If you have already graduated from high school or received a GED, you must bring proof of your credential.
